I was not planning on making any Easter houses this year because I made so many last year, but an idea got stuck in my head and I had to make one.

I decided to put violets on the roof instead of shingles and I made Easter grass which is as close as I will come to making coconut. I put green cardstock through my shredder. I am very happy with how the Easter grass turned out.

I used clip art for the chicks and birds in the windows. I used a texture paste through a stencil to make the raised texture on the walls.

I generally write more details on my blog if you want to read more about some of the stuff I used to make this house. https://withglueandglitter.blogspot.com ... -roof.html

I may put this house on wheels with violets as the spokes, but I haven't decided about that yet.

I hope your spring is going well. It is beautiful here today in Upstate SC. Take care.
Lucy

Very nice Lucy. I love the stone texture on the walls. How did you get the "blue brick" design on the chimney? It looks as if it's printed on. Love your Easter house! :)

Violets on the roof? That treatment is tremendous! Now it makes me wonder about poinsettias on the roof of a Christmas house.

Very creative, and thanks for sharing your pics.
