I made an Easter house for a friend of mine's son. It's structurally like the Black Hat Inn. I used an industrial strength toilet roll from work, and then paper mache over it to look somewhat like tree bark and roots. The top comes off so you can put an LED candle inside. There are clip art bunny portraits inside. I didn't paint the inside too well because it's not really very visible. The eggs are polymer clay covered with a thin glaze. The fence is a die from LaLa Land crafts. I cut out 3-4 layers from cardboard, glued them together, painted with gesso, then a pearlescent paint from Martha Stewart. The grass is made from a Martha Stewart icicle punch.

Great Bunny house... Love that there are portraits on the inside of the house. Is the roof made from a paper punch?

Yes, I made a cardstock cone, painted it a dark green, then punched out a bunch of leaves from an old, now retired Martha Stewart punch. I edged each leaf with some distress paint to give them a little more dimension. I actually have a blog where I post a few more details about my houses - withglueandglitter.blogspot.com.

Nothing like getting an early start. :-) Dynomite!

You know, each house takes me weeks. At least the first prototype does anyway. That's why I have to start early and Easter is kind of early this year as well. I'm just a little slow. Thank you for your comments. Dynomite - that's funny.
