Hola
I finally started my first Spanish-urban styled Christmas house. This is the raw model. There is much detail work left to do but the basic structure is complete.

This is the apartment building we lived in Seville for many months. I am making it as a Christmas gift for our landlady, who kindly helped us through the 6 months of COVID lockdown in 2020

Here is a photo of the actual building

I had to take some liberties as the real building is part of a block of attached apartment buildings. I separated it out and made it a stand alone structure.

I finally got some time to work on the Spanish urban Christmas house. There is still a LOT left to do but it is taking shape. I experimented with how to do the railings and the window grills. The railings are cut from cardboard and the window grills are made from square copper wire (superglued together). Both methods have problems so I will need to come up with a good solution as almost ever building in Sevilla has balcony railings and window grills - many a beautifully intricate and detailed.

The Spanish urban glitter house is fairly complete. I will add a few "O" scale figures if I can find them here is Spain.

The model contains many of the elements common to Seville neighborhoods:
-Juliet balconies
-iron grated windows
-street lamps on buildings
-clothes lines on roof
-antennas on roof
-tile accents
-orange trees on street
-polygon street pavers

It would never (of course) get this cold in Sevilla. It was 111 degrees yesterday! But working on this has helped me beat the heat.
The hotter it gets outside, the more icicles I add to the model!
