I have a carpenter with a bow saw and a lady with shopping basket and walking staff that will probably both be made this year…the carpenter will be based on a photo I have of a vintage tin figure…the lady will be a takeoff on a picture I saw of a witch drawn by illustrator Howard Pyle…but mine will not be a witch…

Love the Carolers and the Sneaky Santa! At this time in my life, I'd need a magnifying glass just to see them, much less make them. And the detail is beautiful!

Thanks for sharing them, as always!

Update...03/25/2022...Flattie Number 4...

TRACTOR FOR BARN AND SILO PROJECT...

First, an apology to John Deere Tractor for "borrowing" their color scheme...

I've probably made a half-dozen different barn and silo pieces over the years...slightly different sizes, colors and seasons of the year...guess it's one of my favorite subjects...next to Ten City, Pack-O-Fun houses and castles...

Here's a link to the first one I made...http://littleglitterhouses.com/paul/barn_silo/hl_barn_silo.htm ...some of my construction mehods have changed since this one...but the all basics are still the same...

This one cried out for something green...but not a tree...so a tractor is what it had to be...in John Deere green...it's a tiny piece but it has about 18 or so individual pieces...

Have fun making one...

Howard...

UPDATE...6-10-2022...FLATTIE PROJECT NUMBER 5 FOR 2022...

FOX HUNTING HORSE, RIDER AND HOUND...

Greetings to all...

I do not approve of any sport or activity that involves the harming of animals...period...

But I did find this flattie subject, sent to me by a long-time forum friend, to be interesting...and worthy of making..there's lots of motion and its subject matter fits in well with the rural character and time period of other flatties I've made...

I choose not to show the base construction or other details that have been covered in the other flattie making projects posted here on the forum...

My very best regards...

Howard...
