good morning...

not impressive...but it's all i need...i built it in 1980...about half the size of a one-car garage...12' x 13 1/2'...

room for my workbench, work table, chair, tools, supplies and trains...fully insulated, air conditioned, heated, ceiling fan, telephone, tv, radio...the back wall has floor to ceiling shelves...just about everything a "man-cave" needs...

it's getting a new roof this week, painted and the gutters put back up...

my very best regards...

howard

How long did you spend organizing it before you took the photos? ;)

Very nice Howard! Congratulations - This is a great 'before' shot. Let's see it again after a few projects :-)

regarding "my organized shop"...how much did i have to clean up before the pix were taken?.. how the shop looks after a few projects?...

here is the "honest truth"...i promise...

not much different than the photos...everything has a specific place...and i tidy up between building steps...i just can't work with clutter...yes, a wee bit of OCD...but that's a good thing in a small work area... :D

my very best regards...

howard...

That's funny, Howard. We may have been separated at birth.... I am very careful about returning things to their place, wiping down surfaces, etc. It's part of the ritual of putzing for me... I think there is a name for this behaviour that is not particularly flattering but I say anything that makes me feel relaxed and happy can only be a good thing!

They often say "It's nice to put a name to a face." I guess the saying here would go..."It's nice to put a name to a workspace." LOL Great to see where all the creativity and creation take place!!!

I am soooooooooooo jealous of you both; my crafting space is my office--specifically a table on the other side of the room across from my desk and computer--I know I would feel more inspired if I had cabinets for supplies--or didn't have to care when the glitter got everywhere! Everything is kept in boxes in the closet--along with old computer parts, software, cables etc.!

One day when I am empress....I shall have the kind of crafting space that would make Martha green with envy...
