Putz inspiration from a cast iron birdhouse

A current auction featuring a single image of this cast iron birdhouse sent me to the google monster to learn more. Another long since completed auction provides many fine images of the Clifton House at Roslyn Harbor, NY. The craftsmanship on the large and heavy piece is remarkable, though this Crowe can't imagine it actually being inhabited by birds.
