Nice interpretation Howard. I'm still looking for the right material to silk screen the tissue windows and doors for the original Dolly's. Do you have any idea of where I might find some?

Pete...have you considered blue vellum paper?...i'm not into printing or silk screening...but i'll be on the look out for blue tissue paper that i think is sturdy enough to be feed through a press or silk screened...
Howard...

Thank you Howard, I'll look into that. In the mean time what I have found that is the right stuff is firecracker pack wrapping paper. Everything about it seems perfect but were does one get big sheets of it? I happen to collect antique fireworks and can unwrap packs and use that paper but that would be tedious and inefficient.

DOLLY REPRODUCTION PROJECTS FOR 2020...NUMBER 2...A CHURCH...

greetings to all...

last year, forum member, Lynn, saved a tired and tattered dolly church that a previous owner had tried to reconstruct...as you can tell from the photo of the vintage original, the person who did the repair and reconstruction possibly had some trouble with the configuration of "skewed" wall arrangements, proper base details and the inadvertent placement of the steps below the window and not the door...but we think our reproduction has remedied that... :D

in a day or so, we'll be posting four pages of PDF patterns for the parts...more construction photo details, finishing information and a photos of the completed church will follow later...we'll also be posting PDFs for the windows...

stay tuned...

I started this project almost a year ago from a series of pictures I found on the internet. I have a design I made up and also I have already designed the door and the window. It was a real challenge, but fun! This has inspired me to finish the project Howard!
