Looks good Lynn.

Was wondering if you could share the brand of paint and the color numbers you use.
I'd like to make the vintage look you get, when I make a few of the different houses.

Thanks Howard. The silver is really nice - I like how it shows off the windows. Did you make your roof all in one piece? I made a pattern of this house and could not get the roof to fit in one piece. The thickness at the bend was too much to fit the 'V' of the house, so I had to cut my roof into 3 pieces to make it fit.

Hi Steve, happy to share the paint colors.

Red - this is a Joann Fabrics store brand called Craft Essentials #72007 Real Red. I love the color but the coverage is not good I had to use several coats and even then it was not perfect but you would never know once the mica was on.

These are the only 3 colors I uses for all my houses.

Green - Americana DAO51 Leaf Green

Blue - this a mixture of 2 paints mix together. 3 parts Delta Cream coat #02133 Cape Code Blue mixed with 1 part Folk Art #608 Heartland Blue.

roofs with multiple scores and folds can be tricky...but if three pieces works for you -- that's fine...this was a one-piece roof...with some fussy fitting required...there is one thing i can suggest...score the "V" folds of the roofs on the back side of the material...not the top side like the "^"peaks...

The Dolly series is wonderful. I really like seeing the different houses by different builders.

My 3 peaks Dolly House with a view of the fence. This replica is close but I needed a larger base to place the two trees together as in the catalogue page. I chose to make this house a little smaller so it was in scale with my other houses. I like the second tree out front a bit. The original Dolly that I have of this model, and several others I have seen are quite huge compared to many of the other houses in these sets. Also interesting is the lighting on this house when I took the picture. The house, fence and trees are green and the base and chimney are blue gray. My colors seem to come out more true when I photograph them at night rather than in daylight.
