greetings to all...

after a few rather large projects (which i can't post right now)...i decided to make something small, basic and fun at the same time...all four of the "pack-o-fun" houses....starting with the church...here's a link to the patterns and instructions...

http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forum ... f=10&t=133

i am going to use printed paper doors plus add raised bases with fences...the church base measures 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 5/8" thick...the fence is 5/8" high...all the other houses will probably fit on about the same size base…i may vary the fence patterns on a couple of them…

if you’ve built any of the “pack-o-fun houses”...i invite you to post them in this topic…if you're thinking about making houses... start with the "pack-o-fun" patterns...

my very best regards…howard…

this may be when i go with a mica flakes final coat and no glitter...

So you opted not to make them out of used cardboard meat trays. :-)

greetings...

here are all the major pieces...painted and ready for mica flakes, windows, door, details and snow-tex...

trying something different for the trees...different for me...but i know others out there have done it...

making the trees out of "canadian pine stems"...actually they're big, fat pipe cleaners...

got mine at hobby lobby...about 99-cents on sale...i used the 20mm diameter...the fullest diameter i've seen....

i cut to length and trimmed to a tree shape...added some white paint and mica flakes...

hope to finish the house early next week...

my very best regards...howard...

Pretty cool, Howard. Love the pine stems idea, too.
