I was wondering where everyone gets their patterns for houses.
Or do you roll your own.

I've stuck to Howard's excellent patterns. As one of my short comings is coming up w/ my own patterns.

I was wondering if any one had any other sources for house patterns in the same scale as Howard's plans.

here's a pattern for a small, two story putz…(please read the disclaimer)…i have not included plans or dimensions for the base or fence…you can find all that information on the following sites…

http://www.bigindoortrains.com

http://www.littleglitterhouses.com

i plan on making the house and will post pictures…if you build the house, please post your pictures as well…

my very best regards…howard…

disclaimer…i found this pattern on the internet quite a while back…i do not know who created it or when…if you are the creator, i would like to give you full credit for designing it…if you do not wish your pattern shared with others, or the pattern is posted elsewhere, i will delete this forum post and the pattern immediately…you can contact me via a post on this forum…please include a link back to your website…

note…all i have done to the original pattern is crisp up some of the details, added dimensions, couple of glue tabs and a chimney cap pattern plus put in a standard putz door opening…

Howard, thanks for sharing this. Maybe we can add the original designer to the "club." ;)

good afternoon...

after cutting out the first house, i didn't like how the windows looked...i must have had on the wrong glasses...and the cardboard was too thick for such a small house...

here's the new one i'm much happier with...it's cut from a "premium quality, extra thick poster board" that came from walmart...

my very best regards...howard...here in north florida enjoying a cool and sunny day...with a hot cup of tea...

good afternoon...

here's the 2 story on a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1/2" high base...picket style fence is about 5/8" high...i'll probably add one more coat of white primer...not sure about the finish colors...but it will be bright...the trees are not glued in place yet...just wanted to get the right height tree and placement...

my very best regards...and happy thanksgiving to you all...

howard...

Wow, that's really impressive. I'm following it as if it were my favorite TV show--waiting in excited anticipation for the next episode. Thanks for sharing all this, Howard.

I aspire to someday make houses like Howard's and Karl's. Right now what I do is take measurements from houses in my collection and make a pattern. I have only done this so far with the smalls.

So cute, Howard! Thanks for sharing. I think I'll save this one to make next year. I can't wait to see your color choices. I really love your style, and I usually end up copying your house colors because they always seem to fit the style of the house so perfectly!
