Hello everyone.
I know Maria and Howard have used Snow-Tex and have had good results with it. I am using it for the first time on my current project. Can anyone give me some tips on how to use this stuff? It doesn't really spread easily and I have to thin it down with some water to get it manageable. Perhaps I am doing something wrong.
Any advice would be really appreciated!

Like every product...we each develop our own application techniques...the following works for me...

I use small brushes with stiff bristles...those soft water color type brush don't work for me...on Wednesday I'll take a pix of the brushes i use...note...I sometimes have to apply a thin coat, wait for it to dry...and apply a second coat...also note...I've never found it necessary to thin snow-tex with water...

I believe it can be applied with a small spatula or oil painting knife...but I've never tried...

By the way...I tried to make my own snow-tex trpe product...I never could get anything that looks and works like the original...snow tex is a superior product...very bright, a nice texture an it dries quickly...

here are two of the three stiff bristle brushes i use...not shown is a 1/8" wide tip one...

try this...load one side of the brush with a "glob", pat down the snow-tex and smear around in a small area...repeat, etc...

i have never been able to apply snow-tex in broad sweeping strokes like craft paint...

I think I was trying to work too fast and use it more like paint than stucco. I will slow down and use your technique.
