When you take the photo with the house lite up.
What kind of light do you put in it.

I love this house. The detailing and proportions are just perfect. I can't believe the number of details I didn't notice on the first picture that I see on the finished photo. And thank you for posting the patterns. I've just finished a hipped roof house and it is always interesting to compare how different people build their houses. I learn so much that way.

steve...
here's the simple lighting setup i use when i take house pictures...the cord with plug, socket and switch came from walmart...there is a black felt sleeve that fits over the cord...i have several different color bulbs that i try to see which looks the best when the house is illuminated...
i plan on adding a "dimmer switch" so i can control the amount of light that comes thru the windows and door so there won't be any hot spots or have the light almost blot out the window mullions...
when i photograph on a black background the black sleeve is next to the socket...
when i photograph on a blue background (or any color) the sleeve is slid out of the photo area...when i process the image i just paint out the white cord that shows with the "paint" program on my computer...
note...these bulbs get hot quickly so i don't leave them burning to too long or use this setup to illuminate house when they are on display...i'm certain there are other ways to light house for photography but this one works for me...
hope this answers your question...
my very best regards...
howard...

So Howard,,, for this Mansion did you have just one light? Or did you add two?
